OVULATION
OVULATION TEST - LH
It is a rapid qualitative assay for the detection of human luteinizing hormone LH in urine which makes possible to anti- cipate the ovulation day and therefore increase the chance of conception.
INDICATED FOR
It is useful to identify the fertile days in order to have more chances to get pregnant in less time.
WHY SHOULD I PERFORM THE TEST?
During the menstrual cycle there are some hormones responsible for a series of modifications of the woman reproducti- ve apparate. The presence of those hormones determines the alternative of fertile days and non fertile days. Only during the fertile days is possible to have the fecondation.
The Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a glycoprotein produced by the anterior pituary in response to luteinizing releasing hormone (LH-RH) secreted by the hypothalamus. In women the LH and FSH (follicule stimulating hormone) are subject to the complex ovulation cycle.
The increase and release of LH leads to ovulation in the next 24-40 hours.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Test works by pointing out the concentration of LH in the urine as normal or above the normal value (30 mIU/mL).
1) The sample is the first urine of the day collected in a clean cup contained in the box..
2) Each field of the strip-test verifies the relative substance.
3) Dip the strip-test for 2 seconds.
4) Wait for 5 minutes and read the result.
